Thailand’s currency - Thai Baht - equals to 100 satangs (coins). All coins and paper money have King Bhumibol Adulyadej pictured on front side. There are 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 Thai Baht notes. Thai Baht exchange rate is around 30 Baht for 1  US Dollar, 44 for Euro or 65 for UK pound (approximately 21 euros or 33 US Dollars for 1000 Bahts) - you can see Bangkok Bank exchange rates for various currencies. Thai Bahts can be freely exchanged for US dollars, UK pounds or euros in every bank in Thailand + there are plenty ATMs there you can withdraw Thai Bahts using your common credit cards.

 To convert money you can use Yahoo! calculator or see certain Phuket banks’ exchange rates (about 10% difference with Yahoo).
